The Budget and Annual Meetings were held at Niwot Hall on March 27, 2025. Of the 89 lots in Somerset Estates, 80 were represented in person or by proxy. The 2025 budget proposed by the board was ratified by a vote of 57 to approve and 23 to disapprove. (Note: The budget is ratified unless a majority of all homeowners, which is 45 homeowners, vote to disapprove the budget). The approved budget is posted below and includes a dues increase to $900 per quarter effective April 1, 2025.
The minutes for the March 26, 2024 Annual Meeting were approved and will be posted below soon.
Six candidates stood for election for three board positions: Astrid Kirschenbaum, Herb McPherson, Lisa Smith, Mike Stears, Ron Budacz, and Steve Flannery. Because this was a contested election, the vote was held by secret paper ballot. After counting by three volunteers, Astrid Kirschenbaum, Lisa Smith, and Steve Flannery were announced as elected. Details will be in the draft minutes of the meeting, available soon. Thank you to everyone that ran for the board!

DownloadWe have received planting plans from the landscape architect for the two entrances to Somerset Estates. A simple functional light is ready for installation for the median at Hwy 52. The plan is to finish these projects in spring 2025. So far, the stucco behind the letters on the monuments at Hwy 52 and Longview Dr has been replaced, the letters polished, the lighting above the lettering replaced, and the top of the monuments sealed to prevent further damage.
